How to Spa
Whether a first-time spa-goer, or simply a first-time visitor to Spargo, we have prepared this guide of frequently asked questions to make your experience most enjoyable.
Are there health benefits to spa treatments and visits?
Guests often tell us of the health benefits they experience after treatments at Spargo, from muscle and joint recovery to relief from aches and pains. The ultimate benefit of a spa visit is your immersion in a relaxing environment, reducing stress and contributing to overall health.
What should I wear?
A locker, plush robes, sandals, towels, amenities and hairdryers are provided at the spa for all guests receiving treatments. Our day guests are responsible for any items left in the locker room. In your best interest, please leave your valuables at home. If you are receiving water treatments, swimming suits are optional, based on your comfort level.
How early should I arrive for my spa treatments?
Please arrive 15-30 minutes early for your spa treatments. Spend time enjoying the amenities of the spa including our Kohler Tower Shower to steam shower, or just to relax in our Atrium waiting area.
What should I do before my treatment?
Showering is recommended before any treatment because the beneficial oils are best absorbed through clean skin. To gain maximum benefits, allow at least one hour between your last meal and treatment. Also avoid drinking coffee or alcohol prior to massages or body treatments.
Who can I inform of my medical conditions and allergies?
Please let both your Spa Attendant and therapist know if you have any special physical or medical needs, conditions or considerations. Some spa treatments are questionable in cases of pregnancy, allergies, high blood pressure or heart disease. This will enable us to plan for your best comfort.
Can I receive additional treatments the day of my scheduled appointment?
Our spa treatments are particularly sought-after, so we recommend reserving three weeks in advance. Should you want to add treatments on the day you arrive, simply inquire about openings during your consultation session. If there are openings available we will gladly schedule them for you.
Do I have to disrobe entirely for a spa treatment?
Please disrobe to your comfort level. Please keep in mind that our highly trained professionals will drape towels or sheets discreetly over areas not involved in the treatment to protect your privacy at all times.
Is there a recommended interval for spa visits?
For optimum skin nourishment and health maintenance we recommend a monthly facial, and weekly massage therapy. Please consult with your therapist for recommended intervals for specific services.
What is the gratuity policy?
Our services do not include taxes and gratuities. In appreciation for outstanding service, gratuities may be given to the staff at your discretion. Our Spa Attendants at the front desk will be delighted to assist you.
